Preparation
Before you apply
Check the required registration and licence, recognised experience, life-support certifications, work permission, contract length, rota, travel arrangements, indemnity and available clinical support. Save the actual job description and deadline. Apply through the employer’s official application process; a course, app or ebook purchase is not required.
Choosing the right role
For a hospital post, compare the grade, supervision, case mix and access to senior help. For remote work, ask about communications, diagnostics, escalation and retrieval arrangements. For shipboard work, check the onboard scope of practice, roster, equipment and shoreside support.
